Catholic Religion Grade 7
The Catholic Faith is the heart and
soul of all we do here at St. Cecilia Catholic School. During Religion class, students learn the fundamentals
of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and are presented with opportunities to internalize and practice their faith in their
daily lives. This is accomplished by using the Diocesan mandated textbook; RCL’s Blest Are We:
Faith and Word Edition, Sacred Scripture, daily recitation of the Rosary, Angelus, and other Catholic prayers, Adoration
of the Most Holy Blessed Sacrament, celebration of the Holy Mass and special feasts of the Church, study of the saints and
practical application of our faith in our day to day dealings with one another.

Students will also complete meaningful reflection papers and research topics connected to Sacred Scripture and the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Expectations:
By the end of Seventh Grade, students will be expected to be spiritually prepared to accept the personal responsibility
necessary for the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation during their 8th grade year.
