The week of September 8-September 10, third grade will:

 

Language Arts

Compare and contrast wolves to dogs.          

Write notes about wolf pups.

            Make predictions about a non-fiction selection about pigs.

 

Math

Count coins and bills to make change.

Compare and order decimal money amounts.

 

Science

Review for and complete a test over Chapter 1: Types of Plants.

 

Social Studies

Identify different jobs that can be found within a community.

            Explain how nations help each other.

Practice map skills such as cardinal and intermediate directions, using a map scale, and calculating/estimating the distance.

 

Religion

            Identify ways to welcome someone.

            Examine the three Sacraments of Christian Initiation.

            Analyze how the Holy Spirit gives everyone a gift to help build the Church.
