Hello and welcome to the new school year. My name is Stephanie Boesch. This is my second year of teaching. I teach fourth grade Language Arts, Reading, Religion and Social Studies. I also teach fifth grade Language Arts and Reading. My lesson objectives will be posted on this site weekly, so check back often to see what your child will be learning each week. I will explain the character’s actions and thoughts based on a story. •
I will figure out what the author’s purpose is in a story. •
I will put events of the story in correct order. • I will find the subject
and predicate in a sentence. • I will correct run on sentences. Fifth Grade Language Arts/Reading: •
I will match causes with effects. • I will figure out the
main idea of a passage from the story. • I will use context clues
to find the meaning of a word. • I will learn more about conjunctions. •

Social Studies: · I will review what I have learned from Chapter 1 to prepare for the
test. · I will take a test over Chapter 1 (pages 2-17) in our books. · I will learn how to read a map correctly. · I will explain the difference between relative location and exact location, longitude and latitude.
